sophie in december

Sophie has been a bit sick the last couple of days - we tried switching her back to regular dog food (lately she's been eating a cooked mixture of rich or shima, veggies, and some kind of meat), but she pretty much rejected the idea. Big surprise. We are also trying to sneak dry dog food into her cooked food, but she seems to dig most of it out with her nose.

Otherwise, Sophie is doing great! Her day is pretty standard - she lies around in certain spots in the dirt where she can stay cool. She watches M and the kids in the afternoon. She plays around with the guards and M at some point during the day or evening. And, if M & I aren't being lazy, we take her on walks in the evenings, sometimes in the mornings (that's more M). We really should walk her more often, although M is much better about it than I am. She rarely barks, even when other people or dogs are around. I wish she'd bark more and scare some people - afterall, she IS supposed to be kind of a guard dog.
