This post is for my friend S who likes to see how things are built. Photos below are of a school that a community constructed out of "local materials", meaning mud bricks and wood. I also included a photo of what a foundation looks like when it is being prepared for a new SC school. Before the cement is laid, big rocks are placed in these ditches. Is this typical of most 'modern' construction projects?
